Since 1991, Dr. Trumps has used the Tomatis Method to expand emotional intelligence, consciousness and the ability to think, learn and become more of who we truly are.  She and Center co-owner Dr. Susan Andrews (Child- and Clinical-Neuropsychologist) were trained in the use of the Tomatis Method by its inventor, Dr. Alfred Tomatis, in Paris.

The Listening Program builds self confidence, making it easier to:

•     communicate thoughts and feelings with words
•     understand conversation
•     respond more accurately to instruction
•     read with greater ease
•     experience the joy of singing mostly <s> in tune

The Tomatis Method is part of the Swedish Health Care System because of its ability to reduce stress and anxiety.

•     focus attention
•     locate the source of sound
•     hear words more clearly
•     repeat words
•     duplicate sounds
•     sing in tune

Additionally, the Tomatis Method has been used with great success for people who experience communication difficulties along the autistic spectrum.


Based on client goals, objectives and abilities, the Center uses one of two equipment systems to provide this program to clients -- Solisten or EnListen.

Solisten is the portable application of Tomatis sound training, designed by the originators of the Tomatis Method and the Tomatis Electronic Ear.  It's the only portable, digital device that offers true and original Tomatis work.  The programs provide the renowned Tomatis Effect through the use of sophisticated electronic functions, including gating, delay and precession.  The proprietary pre-programmed music uses filtered levels, and bone and air conduction established by Dr. Tomatis.
